OOHA 2023/24 League Registration Info

FAQ'S

1. Do I need to be Vaccinated ?
    - There are NO vaccination requirements..

2. What age limits are there ?
    - The league is for 30 ish years old and up.
     We are looking at setting up two divisions
     Flyers - Predominately younger skaters with higher tempo of play
     Vets   - Predominately middling to older skaters with a more recreational tempo of play
.
     This would depend on having enough players to make the two divisions work.
     If not possible then one division for all as always.

    When you register, please select your preferred division or one division for all.

3. When can I register ?
    - Registration is from Mon, Sept 25th to Friday, Oct 6th

4. How do I register / Do I have to pay in advance ?
    - You must register online.  Payment is required when you register.
       If you do not register by Oct 6th, you will not be included in the draft.

5. When does the season start ?
    - Regular Season Starts Sun Oct 15th

6. When is the Draft ?
    - Draft Night will be the second week of October. The draft will be restricted to team and league officials only

7. How many games will I play ?
    - Depending on number of teams and ice availability we are planning a 31 - 35 Game Schedule

8. What will the schedule look like ?
    - We anticipate a similar schedule to the 2022-23 Season.  
    - You will play on any or all of the following nights during the course of the season,
    - Sun 8:30 PM Hazelridge
    - Sun 9:45 PM Hazelridge
    - Sun 9:30 PM OakBank
    - Tue 9:00 PM Hazelridge
    - Thur 9:00 PM OakBank
    - Thur 10:15 PM OakBank
    - Fri 9:30 PM OakBank
    - THESE DATES AND TIMES ARE NOT SET IN STONE YET
    - The final schedule will be posted following the draft.

9. When will the team lists and schedule be available ?
    - They will be prepared after registration closes and will be posted after the draft is completed no later than Friday Oct 13th.

10. What if the season is cancelled or suspended for any reason?
    - Registration fees will be refunded on a pro-rated basis at the end of March 2024 in the event of suspension or cancellation of play.
    - Expenses incurred will be deducted from fees collected before refunds are processed.
